Summary

Cards melt, then pull a thread

Description

A ring of cards drawn by a single signed-distance shader. As two cards come together their fields merge; as they move apart a hair-thin filament stretches between them, thins at its waist, and finally snaps. The pictures are blended by the same weights, so the thread carries a mix of both. A spectral lens finishes the frame: near the rim the image is magnified, split across the wavelengths and smeared into capped trails, with a liquid-glass relief on the bend. Drag vertically to spin; let go and it keeps turning. The pointer softens the matter under it, so threads thicken where the cursor rests. Drop your own pictures into the Images property. Left empty, the component draws gradients so you see it working straight away. Cards, ring size and position, card size and radius, viscosity, thread width, reach and bend, lag, and the five lens controls are all in the panel. Standalone file: engine and shaders inside, nothing fetched from outside.
