Summary
Image/Video shader
Description
Fluid Image pushes your photo or video away from the cursor through a single WebGL pass, with an optional RGB split trailing the motion. Strength, falloff radius, ripple, smoothing and dissipation are all exposed in the properties panel, so the effect ranges from a barely-there shimmer to a heavy liquid drag. It idles properly. The render loop stops as soon as the cursor stops moving, the component scrolls out of view, or the tab goes to the background — an untouched hero costs nothing instead of running a WebGL loop forever. Video frames are uploaded to the GPU only when the decoder produces one, not once per display refresh. Works with an image or a video source, with cover fit, position and zoom controls so it fills any container cleanly. Where WebGL is unavailable, or when a visitor has reduced motion enabled, it falls back to a plain image or video automatically.
