Your image or video, dressed as a camera viewfinder. Two looks: warm Super 8, or a late-eighties camcorder with its electronic readout. In camcorder mode the whole overlay is drawn into a canvas at a third of the resolution and blown up with smoothing switched off, so the letters have genuine pixel staircases instead of a thin font pretending to be old. The timecode really counts up, the audio meter follows a speech envelope with its silences, and the battery turns red and blinks below twenty percent. Choose what appears: REC light and its behaviour, running time, date stamp and its format, battery, audio meter, framing corners or a crosshair, zoom bar and focal length, plus a free text line. Colours are yours. Shake sits at zero by default and there is no vignette at all. Nothing is loaded from outside. Honours prefers-reduced-motion and shows a still frame on the Framer canvas.
